The Many Uses of a Mirrored Table

A mirrored table can be a great addition to add a little space and subtle elegance to your room.  Unlike other mirrored furniture, it’s very noncommittal. When entering or looking at the room from a distance, the table may simply appear to have an ordinary surface. This allows you to add a little something to the area you’re decorating without having to worry about going overboard or being overly flashy.

If you’re using the table mainly as a prop, then having a mirror on it goes a long way. Placing an arrangement of flowers on top of the table can create a nice reflection, further adding to their beauty and the look of the table and your room. You could even put the table up against a wall that has a mirror on it, which will further amplify the flowers.

In a more practical sense, this type of furniture can also be a great addition to your dressing table mirror. While making the area look larger and cleaner, it also can serve the purpose of acting as an additional mirror. When you’re doing something like applying makeup or styling your hair, the extra mirror can actually come in handy, as it will allow you to see yourself from angles you couldn’t otherwise. It’s almost like having a 3d mirror available to you.

You can choose to go with either a metal or a wooden mirror table. Wood has the advantage of appearing more rustic and homely, so it may be a better choice depending on the style of your room. One thing to keep an eye on is the amount of distance between the edge of the mirror and the wood. Wood will shrink or expand depending on the temperature of the weather, so if the wood and the mirror are too close together, you may end up having problems. So if you choose wood, you don’t want to cheap out. If you don’t want to worry about this, then a metal table might be ideal for you.

Financially, tables are one of the easier types of mirrored furniture to create, so even if you’re on a budget you may still be able to find a steal.  This is great news, as you can add a little life to your room without having to break the bank to do so. You also have the option of creating one yourself. If you have some handyman skills and are up to the task, you can simply buy the appropriate mirrors and attach them to the table. The process is fairly simple, and there are multiple guides that can aid you in your project.
